Ragon Faculty Named Highly Cited Researchers

Four Ragon Institute faculty members were recently named Thomson Reuters Highly Cited Researchers. These include: Ragon Institute Director Dr. Bruce Walker, Professor of Medicine, Harvard University;  Dr. Todd Allen, Professor of Medicine, Harvard Medical School; Dr. Dan Barouch, Professor of Medicine, Harvard University; and Dr. Dennis Burton, Professor, Scripps Research Institute.

 

In addition to the four Ragon faculty members, four  Ragon Institute Scientific Advisory Board members were named as Highly Cited Researchers as well.  These include: Dr. Rafi Ahmed, Professor of Microbiology and Immunology, Emory University School of Medicine; Dr. David Baltimore,Professor of Biology, California Technical Institute; Dr. Beatrice Hahn, Professor of Medicine and Microbiology, University of Pennsylvania; and Dr. E. John Wherry, Associate Professor, University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.

 

Highly Cited Researchers is an annual list which recognizes leading scientific researchers around the world.  The list is gathered by analyzing the highest cited papers from scientific journals during the 11-year period between 2003-2013.  Those who rank in the top 1 percent by citations for field and publication year are considered to be highly cited researchers.  About three thousand researchers are recognized for this distinction.
